His father had absorbed radiation. Pursued by the government for his powers. Later came to live with a group of mutants in a Pacific island.

LEGION


LEGION (David Haller) - New Mutants #25 (March 1985)

Illegitimate son of Professor X and Gabriel Haller. Became catatonic after a traumatic incident in which he was forced to kill an entire group of terrorists. Absorbed the personality of the leader of the terrorists. Suffers from identity dissociative disorder. Manifested initially three and later hundreds of distinct personalities. Omega Level mutant. Member of Muir Islanders and New Mutants. Travelled to the past and murdered his own father, thus unwittingly triggering the Age of Apocalypse dimension. Died after his powers were exhausted. Recently returned and has manifested hundreds of personalities, each with its own powers. One of them briefly warped the main Marvel Universe into the Age of X. Retained his powers post-M-Day.

Lived in an apartment with his mother and stepfather. During a fight with his stepfather, they both fell off. The stepfather died, whereas Seiji became paralyzed from the neck down.

HELLION (Julian Keller) - New Mutants v2 #2 (August 2003)

Comes from a family of billionaires. Student at the Xavier Institute. Leader of the Hellions Squad. Member of New X-Men. Retained his powers post-M-Day. Lost both his hands in a battle against Nimrod Sentinels. He has since been given artificial prosthetic hands.

GREY, JEAN - X-Men #1 (September 1963)

Also known as Marvel Girl and Phoenix. One of the original X-Men and X-Factor. Second wife of Cyclops. Raised Cable as an infant. Genetic template for Madelyne Pryor. Aunt of Joey and Gailyn Bailey. Telepathic powers awoken prematurely and shut down for a few years by Professor X. Spent years in a cocoon undersea, healing from radiation poisoning, while Phoenix took her place among the X-Men. Later tapped the Phoenix Force. Killed by Xorn, before she was briefly revived once. Now permanently and forever tied with the Phoenix Force and residing in a different plane of existence.

Son of Anne Ghazikhanian. His unnamed father is also a mutant. Student at the Xavier Institute. Close friend of Squid Boy. Subliminally influenced Anne and Havok to start an affair. Later left the Institute with his mother.

Trainer of Hellions and of mutants in Genosha. Businesswoman. Genetic template for thousands of clone-daughters, including the Stepford Cuckoos. Survived the attack on Genosha, thanks to Cassandra Nova. Possesses secondary mutation. Current partner of Cyclops. Retained her powers post-M-Day.

CHAMBER (Jonothon Starsmore) - Generation X #1 (November 1994)

Descendant of Apocalypse. Destroyed the lower part of his face when he first manifested his powers. Member of Generation X, X-Men, Clan Akkaba and New Warriors. Infiltrated the Weapon X program. Depowered on M-Day. Hospitalized as a result. Restored to health, transformed and given a new potential for mutant powers by Clan Akkaba. Used exotic technology equipment after losing his powers. Later restored to original appearance.

Member of the Promise. Spent years in suspended animation. Briefly fought the X-Men.

Foster father of Hope Summers. Raised by Cyclops and Jean Grey. Infected as an infant with Apocalypse's Techno-Virus. Taken 2000 years into the future by the Clan Askani. Succeeded Askani with Clan Chosen, a resistant force against Apocalypse's turanny. Prophesied to be "Askani'Son", killer of Apocalypse. Returned to the present timeline as an adult. Tutor of New Mutants and X-Force. Leader of Cable's Underground. Member of X-Men. Leader of Rumekistan. Killed Apocalypse, fulfilling his fate. Once partnered with Deadpool. Powered after M-Day. Took infant Hope Summers in the future and raised her, jumping through various periods. Returned to the present timeline. Sacrificed himself to return X-Force through a time-portal.
